First and foremost, we’re parents too!
Therapy in a Bin was started by parents with a single custom-organized bin to facilitate autism early intervention programs for children in British Columbia. Therapy in a Bin was started to meet the needs of families and we have remained focussed on providing quality, responsive service. Over the years, we grew to include nine specific bins targeting various therapeutic needs. Before relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, we grew to carry over 900 items that can be separately purchased to meet the learning and developmental needs of children. Our choice of products was informed by professionals in the field and our board.
In 2021, Therapy in a Bin was sold and the company returned to Canada. The company remains under the care of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The selection of items sold by Therapy in a Bin is informed by our Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, who is also a BC certified teacher, with the input of parents. The sole purpose of the company is to help parents, teachers and professionals help the children and families they serve soar to success.
We remain the same customer focussed company, we are here to help!
With the return of Therapy in a Bin to Canada, the future holds many exciting possibilities! We pledge to provide the same great service, but also to open online website sales in Canada. Behind the scenes, our goal is to provide employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities at Therapy in a Bin – packing orders, creating bins, social media and more! We want to become the “little Canadian company with a bit heart” by focussing on utilizing as many Canadian products as possible, maintaining our infrastructure with Canadian companies, and carrying products that reflect the diversity of our nation.
